Providence Produce, Charlotte, NC (sold)

8x8, oil on canvas panel

95.00, includes shipping

This charming produce stand is a few miles from my house. They sell delicious corn and the people are nice. My painting friend, Jessica, and I set up around 9:00 in the trees behind the stand. By 11:00 we were sweltering in our high humidity heat wave Charlotte weather. The subject was worth it. I also took photos of other sides of the stand and plan to do a small series.

I collect abandoned bird nests. The one in this painting comes from a horse farm and is made of mane and tail horse hair. The egg was found abandoned on the ground.

The Three Pears

6x8, oil on canvas panel

After several days painting landscapes, I yearn to switch over to still lifes for a while.
