The Pond, 5:30 am

8x10, oil on canvas panel

I never tire of painting this pond. Turn 30 degrees or change the time of day, and it's a whole new composition. Some day I'd like to do a Kevin McPherson pond series. He painted, I believe, a hundred or more paintings of the same scene, just changing the season and the time of day. What a wonderful project!

Connie - Kevin painted 365 paintings of his pond. One every day of the year. But he would sometimes do the same day on the subsequent years for the days he missed. It was a fabulous series and I would highly recommend you buy the book of paintings before you start your series. He also kept a small diary of his thoughts for each painting. This really added to the enjoyment of the book.

This pond painting is lovely and every bit as good as his.

Bill, thanks so much for the information on Kevin and his pond paintings. I KNEW I should have looked it up before I posted! And thank you so much for the wonderful painting compliment. You really make my day. Connie

KILLER! Boy do I recognize this and the one above it, too. I guess I'm too late to bid. Got caught up in my own stuff and didn't check in enough here. I really love ALL the pond paintings. I'm going to look at your eBay now!!
