Hi - are you saying the photo of the painting is washed out or the photo you painted from? In either case, if your camera permits, you can manually adjust expose to get the darks and lights to best possible values.
It's the photo of the painting, not the painting itself. I think I just didn't spend enough time in the photo editing. I really thought it looked fine...until I posted it!
