Barn in a Field of Daisies

8x10, oil on canvas panel
I found this scene on a trip through Alabama. I stopped, made some sketches, and took some photos. The light was really spectacular that day. Many of these barns are disappearing from the southern states as farms are sold for housing or mall developments. This one looked like it might still be in use.

Gorgeous as usual Connie! That really upsets me how the barns are becoming extinct. I guess we all need to be painting pictures...and then you can paint them!

Sweet little scene, I like everything about it, the light and the little barn.

I, too, like everything about this picture. Good job, Connie! Will be calling you about my Columbus trip.

I love these natural looking landscapes you produce. Feel like I'm look out a car window listening to the crickets.
